ATA BOZACI
The Swiss artist grew up in Burgdorf and exhibited works with the German artist Stefan Strumbel, for example, as well as with the late Basel graffiti artist Sigi von Koeding, known as “Dare”, and street art pioneer Blek le Rat. The “international artist, graphic designer and graffiti writer of the first hour” (Wikipedia) became known to a wider audience when he was commissioned by Gunter Sachs, together with Dare, to design his apartment in Velden at Lake Wörth Wörth. The artist has immortalized his portraits on huge murals. They can be seen in Istanbul, Hamburg, Marrakesh and Shenzhen. There is the well-known mural showing a baby connected to a smartphone.PERFECT BEAUTY AND IMPERFECT SYMMETRY
Ata Bozaci has developed a unique style with which he designs his portrait and which cannot be copied by anyone else. Ata Bozaci takes a classical approach to beauty and portraiture, despite using contemporary, digital techniques. His artistic process begins with a photograph. Every portrait is then digitally composed from a series of symmetrically-aligned, circular segments directly on the computer. The artist uses the circle as a symbol of perfection, much like it was used as a stylistic tool for rendering the ideal portrait in Egyptian or Byzantine icon painting. But his portraits are also iconic in a more modern sense, as their standardized technique and format reminds us of the «icons» designed for the computer or smartphone screen. -
UNIQUENESS
A portrait is unique. It is something that not everyone has and cannot be found on every corner. It exists exactly once in the world. Ata Bozaci uses a unique technique which cannot be copied by anyone.INDIVIDUALITY
A portrait is individual, made just for you. The sight of it lifts your spirits and makes you happy.PERSONALITY
A work of art should be pleasing, aesthetically appealing. But even more, it must touch you on a deeper, emotional level and speak to you. Invite you to look at it again and again. A work of art should be an expression of your personality and suit your own style.WELL-BEING
Art has a positive effect on well-being. Art calms. Art keeps us young. Art makes us happy. Art stimulates our brain. Regardless of age, art can ensure that we stay healthy or get better faster - mentally and physically.A SPECIAL GIFT
In life, there are situations where you want to give something special. Something that not everyone thinks of or that not everyone has. With such a gift, you show that the recipient is very important to you.CRAFTMANSHIP
Each portrait is drawn by hand on the computer. Despite the digital tool, an immense drawing skill is required. the creation is 100% handmade. You get something of high quality and durability that also supports the local economy.STORY
We love stories. Like a love story, it's exciting to hear how the artwork and the owner got to know each other.HERITAGE
A portrait captures a person or a family for future generations. It can be reassuring to know that something that is important to me will be preserved. A work of art can last for generations and remind us why its previous owners meant so much to us. -
WHAT MAKES A GOOD TEMPLATE ?
The photos serve as a template from which Ata Bozaci creates the portrait. Three frontal face photos are required.
- Take a frontal view of the face. Ears are a good reference. If both sides are equally visible, then it is usually balanced.
- The photo should have sufficient contrast.
- Sharp and in good resolution: 1000 pixels wide, 150 dpi
- The eyes should be well lit. Highlights and eye color should be clearly visible.
- Accessories or a piece of jewelry add a personal touch.
- A sleek or classically elegant hairstyle is best suited.
- The background may contain objects or furniture. This gives the picture depth.
- Different light sources with different colors are advantageous to increase the plasticity. -
The Fine-Art-Prints are printed on Hahnemühle cottonpaper with ultrachrome pigment inks. Pigment inks have a strong color strength, high light fastness and high water resistance. These prints are of very good quality and are used for exhibition and museum purposes.
